A Movie Review of White Noise Starring Michael Keaton and Chandra West

White Noise which is the directorial debut of TV director Geoffrey Sax, is about communicating with other inhabitants of the world through electronic devices. Movie featuring Michael Keaton as the main character is trying to present the story of an investigation into the existence of another world in a way that is more convincing than the tales of ghosts that usually.

Keaton plays an architect named Jonathan Rivers who experience deep grief after the death of his wife Anna (Chandra West) is mysteriously. Then he experienced the events and felt his wife spoke to him, he met a stranger Raymond (Ian McNeice) who says that his wife was trying to talk to him. And in the end he introduced a way to communicate with other inhabitants of the world by Electronic Voice Phenomena, or EVP, which is commonly used by those who have died to communicate to living person through electronic devices such as television or even a toaster

When Jonathan got two phone calls from Anna's cell phone, he knew is turned off, he took it to the house Raymond. What he found there was the headquarters of electronics to communicate with people who have died. He also introduced to Sarah (Deborah Kara Unger), who, thanks to Raymond, has managed to make contact with the deceased fiance. Then both of them become familiar soon as school friends in the EVP lessons

The essence of EVP believe that people who have died trying to make connections on a still life with continuously through electronic tools. While so-called White Noise which is the voice and image appear of electronic equipment such as TVs and radios can be recorded and studied via a process known as video or photographic instruments to help transform the transmission of such communication.

With this method Jonathan is soon busy in his own world, making itself a laboratory filled with electronic equipment, cancel appointments with clients, even forgetting an appointment with his son. What he does just glared at the television and watched all the equipment that enables contact with the wife from another world, where he believed that his wife wanted to convey something to him. As a consequence of this thriller plot, of course some evil ghost appears and creates interference from the other side.

Over time, Jonathan was brought to a reality with the emergence of spooky sounds threatening. Finally, Jonathan got the impression that he's creepy that have been contacted not by death but which would soon die. Then Jonathan's TV screen, unseen by him, showing a vague figure.
