Sideways Film Review Directed by Alexander Payne

The Director of Alexander Payne creates great variation in the Sideway film, It revolves around two buddies. Tell about the gravity of a middle-aged men on two main protagonists in the hope and poetry. Film Setting in California wine country, sunshine shinning, brought four characters on the screen, where each of it is turned live with remarkable performances from the cast. Payne and his old partner Jim Taylor, had carved an almost perfect scenario, flooded with poignant and humorous moments and finely carved with very funny moments, bringing to audiences a refreshing spectacle.

This film story tell about two friends, Miles (Paul Giamatti) is a teacher and failed novelist, who could not overcome the divorce effect which has been going on for two years. Jack (Thomas Haden Church) is a TV actor who will soon be married Christine (Alysia Reiner) and intend to make the days last adventure bachelor. They both were friends in college. He can not understand why Miles was not able to overcome the divorce problem or about his new declined novelor increased dependence on drink of wine, or feelings that accompany that, as a middle-aged man, he has been pass through his culmintation.

Finally Jack and Miles begin their journey to California wine country, with the purpose as a celebration of Jack's singles final period with finding a woman to have fun and wants Miles to drink the best wine and playing golf. In their journey, Miles and Jack meet Maya (Virginia Madsen), a waitress who served them wine and her friend, Stephanie (Sandra Oh). From here we can immediately see how the two couples with very different styles; Jack forgot to say to her that he will get married so He lost control with Stephanie. While Miles and Maya share about their favorite wines. Where Maya describe wines like it has a soul and Miles explained about wine in ways that are poetic. Where the flow of their dialogue has a double meaning that cleverly reveal something from the speaker.

This film is a comedy that is packed with natural, making the audience laugh with increasingly recognize the characters in the film, their imperfections, doubts and, emotional pain.
